Software-as-a-Service (SaaS)

RailComm’s Domain Operations Controller (DOC®) web-enabled application service uses a state-of-the-art Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) delivery model to create a platform for next generation train control. Users can manage railroad operations through RailComm remote control applications delivered using a new and flexible approach, with no capital outlay. By subscribing to RailComm’s command, control, communication and information services, all railroad control applications are securely accessible through any authorized web interface.

The Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) model allows companies to outsource hardware and application hosting while maintaining complete control of customer support activities. Capital costs are eliminated, and IT support costs are reduced. The result is that companies can easily implement effective solutions for security, zero downtime and disaster recovery.

Save money. There are fewer upfront costs when implementing RailComm’s SaaS than a traditional on-premises application. This includes lower IT costs as well as a pay as you go model.  The SaaS application won’t require the time and effort of experienced IT personnel and won’t deflect the efforts of employees away from the core mission of your organization. Typically, an on-going monthly expense is easier to incorporate into your budget than a large one-time outlay.

Save time. The DOC System is already up and running at RailComm’s data center. Therefore, deployment time tends to be much shorter with SaaS. Your railroad can be monitored and controlled by the DOC System in as few as thirty (30) days in many cases.
