DOC^®:Trak is a Communications Based Asset Management (CB:AM™) information system that integrates industry proven communication and identification technology with expert system software to monitor, alert, and report on the mileage-dependent and time-dependent maintenance requirements of each car within your fleet.

DOC^®:Trak is comprised of RailComm's Domains Operations Controller (DOC^®) System along with industry proven automatic equipment identification (AEI) tags and tag readers, train detection, on-board GPS, and radio communications technologies to generate time/date stamped information. The DOC^® computer uses the information for user definable monitor displays and reports for compilation and transmission to existing computer systems.

With the RailComm DOC^®:Trak system, users can easily and independently create new systems and modify existing systems.

DOC^®:Trak is network compliant and provides multiple levels of access to insure system security.

It uses railroad-proven AEI tags mounted on the vehicles to transmit an RF message containing its unique ID and other acquired information to wayside-based AEI tag readers. The AEI tag reader can be energized only when a train is detected to conserve power. The reader collects the information from a tag on each car of the passing train and sends it to the RailComm DOC^® System via a wireless communication network. DOC^® archives the information for generating customer defined reports or formatted for transmission to other computer systems. The data is time-and-date stamped to provide detailed monitoring and tracking of all your rail assets.

With strategically placed AEI tag readers powered by solar panels, a completely wireless system is provided. This eliminates the installation and maintenance costs associated with buried cable.

DOC^®:Trak is compatible with other RailComm DOC^® system solutions including a Communication-Based Yard Control System, DOC^®:TWC computer based Track Warrant Control and DOC^®:CTC mainline central control system for the ultimate railroad or rail transit monitor and control system.
