Control Panels

A simple to operate, railroad-ready control panel uses green, amber, and red LED lamps to represent the status of all switches controlled by the panel. The operator merely pushes the buttons associated with each switch to command the desired alignment. The push-button control initiates a series of wireless commands to the correct switches, which them move into the commanded position.

Control Panels

If a switch does not correctly align, the operator is notified by the LED indications on the panel. Additionally, as the cut rolls down the lead, the train detection LEDs provide the operator an indicator, which corresponds to the exact location of the rolling cut. Even on blind leads, the operator knows when the cut is clear, and the next move can be safely executed.

Control Panels

The RailComm Control Panel communicates to each switch via the RailComm wireless data network. Controls are sent to, and indications are received from each switch.

Switch control is simplified by the use of a single push button per switch. Pressing the push button generates a switch call to the position opposite of the current indication state.

Switch indication is represented by a Green LED for Normal correspondence and an Amber LED for Reverse correspondence. Switch occupancy is indicated by a Red LED.
