December 1, 2008 – RailComm, a leading provider of software-based train control and railroad passenger rail management information systems, has been ranked by Inc. magazine’s Inc. 5,000 list of the fastest-growing private companies in the country. RailComm was recognized based on its revenue growth of 315.1% from 2004 to 2007 and ranked 1,194 on the overall list. RailComm was also ranked 91st amongst the top software development companies. This is RailComm’s second year in a row to be recognized on the Inc. 5,000 list.
The Inc. 5,000, an extension of Inc. magazine’s annual Inc. 500 list, catches many businesses that are too big to grow at the pace required to make the Inc. 500, as well as a host of smaller firms. Taken as a whole, these companies represent the backbone of the U.S. economy. The 2008 Inc. 5,000 list measures revenue growth from 2004 through 2007.
