NY – November 14, 2005. RailComm's Isolation Module (IsoMod2)
separates serial data ground references while providing a 15 Watt
isolated 12 Volt DC supply to power external equipment. In wayside
applications, the IsoMod2 simplifies isolation between the signal
battery and earth-grounded communications and signaling equipment.
On-board equipment operating from power systems with different ground
references can communicate using standard serial interfaces without
exotic conversion devices. The small enclosure mounts easily in panel or
shelf installations, providing a quick solution to common grounding
fault problems in any environment.
