DOC® SaaS in Production Service on Buckingham Branch Railroad October 15, 2007 -- RailComm, Inc. announces it has signed a long-term service agreement with Buckingham Branch Railroad (BBRR). The service agreement allows the BBRR, located in central Virginia, to access RailComm’s state-of-the-art Domain Operations Controller (DOC®) train control system through its web-enabled Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) delivery model. The Buckingham Branch Railroad DOC® System capabilities include both CTC and dark territory train control. RailComm’s DOC® Software-as-a-Service offering is a railroad industry first, and is destined to revolutionize dispatch services, crew management, and the remote control of trains, power switches and in fact, any electro-mechanical device. The DOC® system is designed with built-in expansion capabilities for adding workstations and/or field control points without interrupting operation of the current system. Since the control application resides on servers within RailComm’s managed data center, the requirement for local IT support at each railroad is greatly reduced.
