RailComm Control System June 23, 2008 -- RailComm has provided a wireless switch heater remote control system for the Maryland Transportation Authority’s Baltimore Northwest Yard. The turnkey control system includes the RailComm switch heater controllers communicating to a central office via a dedicated data radio network. RailComm’s Domain Operations Controller (DOC®) system resides in the central office and provides the system operator with a user interface to control the 25 switch heaters. The DOC® (Domain Operations Controller) software-based control system is an advanced command, control, communications and information (C3i) server-based platform that supports a wide variety of integrated solutions for indication, control, access and distribution of critical operational data across the corporate enterprise.
