GCOR Rules Training Program
for NICTD and South Shore RR

For Immediate Release

May 31, 2006 -- RailComm, Inc. has completed the General Code of Operating Rules (GCOR) training program for the NICTD (Northern Indiana Commuter Transportation District) Commuter Railroad and the Chicago SouthShore and South Bend Railroad. The training program consisted of instructing the GCOR Revision 5 rule set to more than 200 participants over a six-month period.

As a part of the revitalization plan for their 75-mile commuter railroad, NICTD made a strategic decision to switch from their current rule set to the commonly accepted GCOR rule set. The training program targeted personnel from all departments as part of adopting the GCOR Revision 5 rules, and also included a Railway Workers Protection recertification course as part of the training contract.

In addition to providing training services to its customers, RailComm also provides a world class train control system. The GCOR training program was completed in time to support the revenue service implementation of RailComm’s DOC® Domain Operations Controller system that includes integrated software applications for centralized train control (DOC®:CTC), Supervisory Control & Data Acquisition (DOC®:SCADA) and dark territory train control (DOC®:DTC).
