RailComm to provide Remote Control Switch Heater System for JFK Airport’s Air Train
April 21, 2009 – RailComm has been selected to provide a wireless remote control switch heater system for JFK Airport’s Air Train in New York City. The turnkey control system will include the RailComm switch heater controllers communicating to a central office via a dedicated data radio network. RailComm’s Domain Operations Controller (DOC®) System resides in the central office and provides the operator with a user interface to control the 20 switch heaters. The RailComm system dramatically reduces energy costs, while also increasing safety and reliability.
The DOC® (Domain Operations Controller) software-based control system is an advanced command, control, communications and information (C3i) server-based platform that supports a wide variety of integrated solutions for indication, control, access and distribution of critical operational data across the corporate enterprise.
