For Immediate Release

FAIRPORT, NY –February 21, 2005. RailComm, Inc. has successfully commissioned a Domain Operations Controller (DOC®) system for the Northern Indiana Commuter Transportation District (NICTD) dispatch center located in Michigan City, Indiana. The RailComm system controls the first of several interlocking locations that will be converted from ABS control to a modern CTC system.

When fully commissioned later this year, the RailComm DOC® will provide CTC mainline control, Track Warrant dark territory control and a full featured SCADA capability to control and monitor eleven electrical substations along the NICTD right-of-way. The SCADA system will provide a series of alarms and indications for various field-based detectors including intrusion alarms, passenger annunciator, fire alarms, and highway crossing health monitors.

Additionally, RailComm has been contracted to assist NICTD to migrate from their current Train Order operating rules to the General Code of Operations Rules (GCOR). RailComm has completed the first phase of training key NICTD personnel in the GCOR rules.
