CSX Expands existing RailComm DOC® Yard Automation System February 11, 2008 -- CSX continues to expand its Domain Operations Controller (DOC®) system located at CSX’s Rice Yard in Waycross, GA. RailComm provided modifications to the existing DOC® Server to add graphical control for ten additional switch locations. RailComm also provided its Intelligent Interpreter (i2) digital controller/protocol converter product, connecting directly to the field IO associated with each switch. The i2 converts the digital IO to a serial data message and communicates the data point-to-point, from the equipment bungalow in the field to the DOC® system located within the central control tower.
