RailComm to provide remote control yard system at BNSF Longview

December 21, 2011 - RailComm has been selected to provide its wireless remote control automation system at BNSF’s Longview facility in Washington. RailComm’s state-of-the-art Domain Operations Controller (DOC®) System will be used to remotely control switches. The DOC System will include a workstation that will allow the user to control and monitor devices and review operation logs of all system activity. The workstation will display a graphical representation of the yard area.

The system will include triple-aspect, bi-directional switch position indicators at each switch location. The SPIs contain LED aspects, which allow for easy viewing of the switch alignment at any time of the day or night.

RailComm’s 2.4 GHz RADiANT™ data radios will provide a wireless communication network to link the office with the field locations.
